HOUSEPLANT PROPAGATION AND CARE

Time: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Price: $40 member, $50 non member

Description: Research has shown that houseplants offer many benefits to our health and well-being. Not only do houseplants make our living spaces more beautiful, they also improve indoor air quality and help reduce our stress levels.  Join GFS Horticulture Assistant Cat Swiderski for a two-hour workshop and learn how to grow and propagate a variety of indoor plants. In this workshop, you’ll not only learn about what types of plants are best suited for growing indoors and how to care for them, but also how to propagate your own! Plant propagation is a rewarding process that allows us to create more plants for ourselves and to share with others. Participants will have the opportunity to take cuttings from GFS-grown plants, learn how to root their cuttings, and how to grow their newly propagated plants at home. This workshop is open to plant lovers of all levels of experience. Admission to GFS and supplies included.
