Event Details

A film known to be the oldest surviving animated feature, this 1926 silent German cinematic masterpiece uses a captivating orchestral score and “silhouette” animation in a fairytale exploring stories from the fabled Arabian Nights. Director Lotte Reiniger’s inventive technique employs cutouts made from cardboard and thin sheets of lead, posed in front of illuminated sheets of glass and manipulated to create a type of shadow animation never seen before. Movie Night Reservations include park admission starting at 5 PM.

This summer and fall, GFS is pleased to partner with its friends at the Princeton Garden Theatre (PGT) on programs designed to highlight connections between each organization’s unique programming.
