Join us for a GFS Member Meet-up at Arts Council of Princeton to view the exhibition Echoes in Our Bones: The Empowering Legacy of Black Women Artists in American Art and Culture. Echoes in Our Bones will explore how themes of identity, history, and cultural resilience have endured and transformed across generations. The exhibition examines how these artists have explored and expanded the ideals articulated in the Declaration of Independence, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, using art as a powerful vehicle for expression, resistance, care, and community. Explore the exhibition a bit on your own, then at 4pm we will hear from the curators of the exhibition, Judith K. Brodsky and Rhinold L. Ponder.
This meet-up is free for current and new GFS members. Join us! Pre-registration is required as the exhibition gallery has limited space. Members are responsible for their own transportation to and from Arts Council of Princeton (102 Witherspoon St, Princeton, NJ 08542).
